Shrinking Cereal Boxes - Consumer Reports Tip

Getting fewer flakes for your money.

Kellogg has trimmed the box size of Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini-Wheats, and Rice Krispies without trimming the price. The result: more money for less cereal. If you want more bran for your buck, try lesser known brands like Malt-O-Meal. It's almost half the price and rivals the biggest taste.

Expensive Packaging - Consumer Reports Tip

Hold the mayo!

Hellman's Easy Out! squeeze package pledges "no waste" when it comes to leaving mayo behind. But our tests showed about 11 percent (almost 5 tablespoons!) didn't make it out of the new Easy Out! I jar. Stick with a traditional jar. You'll save money and mayo.

"Wild" Salmon - Consumer Reports Tip

When "wild" salmon isn't.
