SLAMMERS Ultimate Milk - Milky Way

I am not sure if this is a new item, but I was at Safeway the other day and there for the first time I say this Milky Way flavored milk. I don't like milk, unless it has enough strawberry or chocolate syrup so that I can not really taste the milk. Expecting a liquid version of Milky Way, I purchased it. It says it tastes just like a Milky Way Bar. It does not exactly taste like a Milky Way Bar. It is very chocolatey with a backnote of caramel. Today I picked up another one of these at a Circle K and it does not taste the same. It is less good. I am thinking it was not cold enough and too early for milk. At the convenience store they had a Slammer with not just Milky Way flavor but one with 3 Musketeers flavor. I have yet to try that one.

Scrapbooking on Clearance!!

It has been a while since I have scrap-booked. I have many projects pending to scrapbook. It is not that I haven't had the time, just have not found the right time, or the space. I got really into scrap-booking about a couple of years ago, I had my desk set up and a fair amount of supplies. Then I put my supplies away as I was moving from renting an apt to renting a house. I have not completely finished moving in, there are many things still in boxes. So my space to scrapbook is nonexistent at this point. However, this does not stop me in looking around and getting a few scrapbook things here and there. Today I went to get general household stuff at Target, and found that they have quite a bit of scrap-booking stuff on clearance. Thinking back on yesterday I remember Amy had mentioned this at work. YAY!!! Not sure if you can read clearly the price on the photo of the card stock package, my camera is a bit old and needs to be replaced, but that in fact reads $2.78 for each package. So head down to TARGET today and get yourself some stuff for cheap.

By the way check out Amy's Blog as  she is a truly a  scrapbook queen and takes some awesome photos.

Voting against your own best interest?!

I Don't understand how anyone could have voted for President Bush for his first term and much less do I understand how anyone could have voted for him for his second term. In my view if you voted for him it means that you voted against me. That you could care less that I have equal rights as you because I am Hispanic and Gay. That you could care less of minorities and those who are not rich. In my view he only cares about the rich. Have you noticed how the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer? Have you noticed the gas prices making oil companies richer? Have you noticed he could care less for the environment? Have you seen that he could care less about the Katrina survivors? He should have been the first to take leadership in helping the survivors and helping them rebuild, but still after after six months there seems to be nothing being done to help rebuild. He fooled the country into invading Iraq with false statements of "weapons of mass destruction" when he knew well that Iraq had none. I can't stand this president. Did you know he wants to hire a foreign country for the security of several seaports of the US? I will say it again if you voted for president bush for his first term and then still found the way to vote for him for his second term then you care less about minorities in this country, you don't care about your children's future, you don't care about our environment, you care less about the homeless and the poor, you could care less that I am Hispanic and you could care less that I am gay and my rights. I voice and vote for impeachment of this president and his resignation.

Candlemaking Weekend Trip

Last weekend I went, reluctantly, with Aaron to Ajo, AZ. The original plan was to go up to Sedona for the weekend. It was changed from that to go to Sedona for the day, but ended up being a trip to Ajo instead. The change in plans had to do with his friends that were going to meet us in Phoenix were not able to make it. So we went down there and it so happened to be his Dad' B-day. So Friday when we went down there they had a cookout for him. It was nice. Next day comes, Saturday, I woke up around 6am as I would normally, but everyone was still asleep. So, I layed back down until someone was awake. I had gone to sleep before anyone had the previous night so I asked Aaron how the rest of the night went. Everything had gone ok. So we had breakfast, coffee, eggs, etc.  Later that day we went to his friend's house. That was probably the best part of the trip as I made candles. I mixed blue and yellow to make mine green with watermelon scent. They smell really yummy and came out pretty good. We left that evening. On the way back up to Phoenix, I was stopped and given a speeding ticket. What a turn of events to the trip that was originally planned. The candles were the best part of this trip.
