Choxie

Choxie is the name of Target's new line of gourmet like chocolates with an upscale taste without the upscale price. The signing is stylish and hip. I was a bit skeptical to try them, but Amy said she tried the truffle ones and she liked them, and if Amy liked them, then I was sure to enjoy them as well. So I had taste, and my are they truly delicious and at the price points that they are given, I no longer need to break my wallet at Godiva to have great tasting chocolate treats. I will be providing my opinion on each variety of Choxie as I try them. Mind you the line is extensive so this may take several months. Stay tuned...

Tully's Coffee

As you know I had extra time in the morning today so picked up a few things at a local grocery store. In the store ther was a Tully's Coffee, a starbucks like attempt, in the grocery store. Ordered a Mocha Spin, their take on a frappuccino, no expectations but of course comparing it to Starbucks. To my surprise it was delightfully good, and at the same price as Starbucks, I may occassionally venture to Tully's to avoid the crowds at Starbucks. However Starbucks could never be replaced. Self Heating Coffee Can?!

So, I had some extra time this morning before work, so went looking around to get some sugar for my morning coffee and I noticed Wolfgang Puck self heating beverages. I was like, "What the hell, he is getting into everything?!" To add to my excitement I had never heard of self heating can. Of course I had to get some to try them. I got 3 of the 4 to 5 kinds that they had. The Gourmet Rich Caramel Latte, Gourmet French vanilla Latte, and the Gourmet Rich Mocha Latte. I'll post a blog review of these later, as I try them. Have  great day.

Cracker Jack vs Poppycock vs Store brand

So what's the deal with Cracker Jack. It seems to me it's over-rated. I remember when I was a kid I would buy it excitedly mostly for the surprise toy. Back then it was really something exciting to see what new mini toy was inside. Now I purchase this type of sweet for the actual taste of it when I get a sweet tooth and not the "surprise" I stopped buying Cracker Jack a while back as the surprise now is crap. I recently received a Cracker Jack as part of a Christmas goodie bag. The surprise toy is a crappy piece of paper with instructions to fold the paper this way and that way. What the hell kinda "surprise toy" is that. If only the popcorn mix with nuts was good, but it isn't. The peanuts in it are diminutive and shriveled, it's a waste to even include them in it. So now of course I buy Poppycock which is excellent tasting and have many varieties, and of course I like saying the name. Even the store brand versions are pretty good, and have a good popcorn to nut ratio. But Cracker Jack unless I receive you as a gift or part of a goody bag as before, I will not waste my time on you, unless you improve the peanuts to caramel popcorn ratio and include a worthwhile "surprise"

Time Lapse...

Today I came in to work 6:15am - 2:30pm. For some reason I set my alarm for 4am to be here by 5am, however in my mind it panned out as if it was 5am to be her by 6am. WEIRD!. So I didn't realize this until it was 10 minutes to 5am and I was pretty much down the street of work. So what to do in an hour, as I definitely did not want to go to work yet and did not want to drive back home. So Drove to Albertson's but was closed, opens until 7am today. So went Fry's Marketplace, where I used to shop all the time before I moved. Thankfully it was open. So spent a good 45 minutes in there, got some fruit and snacks for work. Then drove to work was at work 10 minutes to 6am. Much better than a whole hour early. Well hope you all have a great New Years Eve. I am not doing anything really just home. I'll probably watch the New York thing on TV, drink some Rose Regale and go to bed as I work early tomorrow as well at 6am. Hopefully I'll get the time right tomorrow.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas!!

The Christmas feeling is starting to get me... I have started my Christmas cards and can't wait to continue the home decorations. Although this Christmas points to be a poorer Christmas, I am so excited for it. I have been mostly good through out the year, a few naughty bumps in the road, but hopefully Santa will get me some or most of what I am wishing for :) Just a few things I am wishing for are: XBOX 360, New file cabinets, new computer, new digital camera, new bed, mini freezer, movable kitchen island, Martha Stewart Stainless Steel Cookware, and of course there's more... Oh i can't wait :) Happy shopping everyone!!! :)

Trust...

Trust... I was asked by a person who is a close friend this weekend if I trusted her. My response, "For the most part." My response was not the one expected , yes, and my explanation was I don't really truly trust anyone and have always mostly relied on myself. We talked about it briefly, however it still lingered in my head until today. Trust. Webster has several definitions for trust:
"assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something ."
"dependence on something future or contingent."
"a property interest held by one person for the benefit of another."
"a charge or duty imposed in faith or confidence or as a condition of some relationship."

From this I draw that my response was most appropriate. I am a self-sufficient person who does not rely on someone or something for the future. I don't place my burdens or conflict of interests or troubles upon others unless deemed necessary and as a last resort. From time to time there is that need to share and place your confidence in others. I know one of those people, if not the only person will be my closest friend or best friend. I am truly grateful that when the need arises I have someone to share that with.
