Holidays 2008! - 25 December 2008
=========================
From December 25, 2008
=========================

These are photos from Christmas Day in 2008. While most years I take photos throughout the season that include decorations, snacks, food, and more, in 2008 I only took photos on the 25th of December.

The only other photos taken were during specific events:

Holiday Party 2008! - 20 December 2008
https://youtu.be/kusWoflz8Dk

Here, you’ll first see how I decorated the house we lived in at the time. The window painted to look like stained glass was done by Armanzraven. You’ll also see a close-up of the Precious Moments nativity scene, which I still have and use to this day. After that, you’ll see the presents I received that year. Those were good times when you could get nice gifts at decent prices, as over the years everything has become much more expensive. Following the photos of the presents, you’ll see the indoor decorations with their lights turned on, as well as the holiday cards I received that year.

APS Fiesta of Light 2008! - December 6, 2008

=========================

From December 6, 2008

=========================

These are all the photos and videos taken during the 2008 APS Fiesta of Light parade that took place on the 6th of December. This compilation of photos and videos are organized in the order they were taken. If the video portions appear familiar, it's because I'd previously uploaded the 26 videos of this parade individually.

However, for this edit compiling all the videos and photos, I added some slight effects on a handful of the photos and the videos to be able to see them a bit better.

Audio: "Oh Christmas Tree" by DJ Williams from the YouTube audio library on the photos sections and the music/ambient of the video sections.

Ornament stories.

Top Left: Crafted ornaments from inexpensive kits. These are several years old.

Top Right: Plushie ornament received during an ornament exchange party at work from many years ago.

Bottom Left: A Merry Christmas ornament that was my mom's. Not sure how old, but old.

Bottom Right: Church's Chicken Wing. A new ornament for 2023. The first new ornament after many years of using the ones we already have and/or making handcrafted ones.

Memories of Yore: Photos from My Mother's Camera - 2008 ~ Phoenix ZooLights

Hello there. After having taken out all the photos from my mother's camera, which had photos from 2007 through 2011, I thought perhaps making photo/vid collages of them.

In the past I've uploaded a video here and there, however, ultimately decided in making specific photo/vid collages of them to share. This series is titled Memories of Yore: Photos from my Mother's Camera and will include the year. The years where there were so many photos that would have made for a far too long of a video have been broken down to specific videos.

The background image is a photo I took of my mother in 2007 where she is looking at the photos on the camera where all these photos were taken.

Audio: Snow Princess by Jimena Contreras, Christmas Chores by RKVC, and Oh Christmas Tree by DJ Williams which are all from the YouTube Audio Library.

This was back in December of 2006 and the treats were made over several days and include a cake, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, sugar cookies with Hershey's Kisses, and the Minty Merengue Drop Cookies of which I've previously shared a post of.

Graham Cracker House Contest! - Holidays 2006

=========================

Taken on December 11-13, 2006

=========================

This is a photo collage of the photos I took during the Graham Cracker House Contest from 2006 when I worked in Tempe, Arizona at Target Tempe.

It was an alternative to a Gingerbread House Contest. Teams were given a box of Graham Crackers, a tub of icing and colored sugar for sprinkling. Teams were allowed to add edible embellishments.

On December 15, 2006 I had blogged about it. If you want to read that to get a bit more specific info, go to: https://elkirbster.blogspot.com/2006/12/building-graham-cracker-house.html

Audio: Narration Intro by me with background of Jingle Bells from the YouTube audio library. Then the song titled Christmas Village by Aaron Kenny, also from the YouTube audio library, which I slowed down just a tad in order to fit the rest of the video.

Phoenix ZooLights 2005!

This is a collage of photos & videos of the Phoenix ZooLights 2005. The six videos you've likely seen before as I'd uploaded those individually previously. This was my first time going to the Phoenix ZooLights and went with my mother. You can hear her a bit on some of the videos.

Music: The Christmas Song by Sammy Davis Jr from the 2007 Christmas with the Rat Pack holiday album.
