This is the one photo taken during the 2008 Phoenix AIDS Walk. At least the only one that was shared because, although I didn't participate in this event because I was at a different volunteer event that today, I did put together the communications related to it. So here you have the photo, the photo which I edited to have a frame, and image of the recap communication.
Phoenix AIDS Walk 2008 Recap
On Sunday, October 5, 2008 after 5 years Phoenix welcomed back the AIDS walk back to the valley. The 5K AIDS walk in downtown Phoenix drew 5,000 people and raised over $150,000. The funds will be distributed equally among 16 local organizations that provide direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
Local agencies benefiting from the AIDS Walk are: AGAPE Network, AIDS Network of Arizona, Bill Holt Clinic at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Chicanos Por la Causa, Compassion in Action, Concilio Latino de Salud, Ebony House, HIV Care Directions, Joshua Tree Feeding Program, Inc., Native American Community Health Center, Phoenix Shanti Group, Project Hard Hat, Southwest Behavioral Health, Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS and TERROS, Inc.
Target volunteers arrived at 6am and had the first contact with walkers coming in to register for the walk. Thank you to everyone who helped make Phoenix AIDS walk 2008 a success!
