Voting against your own best interest?!

I Don't understand how anyone could have voted for President Bush for his first term and much less do I understand how anyone could have voted for him for his second term. In my view if you voted for him it means that you voted against me. That you could care less that I have equal rights as you because I am Hispanic and Gay. That you could care less of minorities and those who are not rich. In my view he only cares about the rich. Have you noticed how the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer? Have you noticed the gas prices making oil companies richer? Have you noticed he could care less for the environment? Have you seen that he could care less about the Katrina survivors? He should have been the first to take leadership in helping the survivors and helping them rebuild, but still after after six months there seems to be nothing being done to help rebuild. He fooled the country into invading Iraq with false statements of "weapons of mass destruction" when he knew well that Iraq had none. I can't stand this president. Did you know he wants to hire a foreign country for the security of several seaports of the US? I will say it again if you voted for president bush for his first term and then still found the way to vote for him for his second term then you care less about minorities in this country, you don't care about your children's future, you don't care about our environment, you care less about the homeless and the poor, you could care less that I am Hispanic and you could care less that I am gay and my rights. I voice and vote for impeachment of this president and his resignation.

Candlemaking Weekend Trip

Last weekend I went, reluctantly, with Aaron to Ajo, AZ. The original plan was to go up to Sedona for the weekend. It was changed from that to go to Sedona for the day, but ended up being a trip to Ajo instead. The change in plans had to do with his friends that were going to meet us in Phoenix were not able to make it. So we went down there and it so happened to be his Dad' B-day. So Friday when we went down there they had a cookout for him. It was nice. Next day comes, Saturday, I woke up around 6am as I would normally, but everyone was still asleep. So, I layed back down until someone was awake. I had gone to sleep before anyone had the previous night so I asked Aaron how the rest of the night went. Everything had gone ok. So we had breakfast, coffee, eggs, etc.  Later that day we went to his friend's house. That was probably the best part of the trip as I made candles. I mixed blue and yellow to make mine green with watermelon scent. They smell really yummy and came out pretty good. We left that evening. On the way back up to Phoenix, I was stopped and given a speeding ticket. What a turn of events to the trip that was originally planned. The candles were the best part of this trip.

Messed up morning and afternoon drives...

So what's up with today? My alarm clock was set and either it did not go off or I slept through it. So I woke up an hour late, so was an hour late for work. Getting to work was an ordeal. I am not used to driving at that time in the morning which was 7-8am. I usually drive between 6-7am. SO I thought maybe if I go get a Starbucks It will all be better. There were more cars than usual but it was fairly quick, but a lady 2 cars ahead of me had some attitude. She was smoking and threw the cigarette butt before she got to the window and from what I saw the Starbucks person must have asked her to throw it in the trash, cause she got out of her car picked up her butt and threw it in the trash can. So glad that was done cause that lady looked like one of those who thinks and act as if she is superior than everybody else. Then got my drink left. Seemed to be going good but car in front of me stopped as a school bus had just stopped to pick up some kids. So here went more delay. Once the bus finished the car in front of me went, I started to go but the school bus cut me off and got in front of me. What was that. A school bus cutting me off, so of course I moved to the next lane over , and being the drama queen I can be sometimes I just stepped on my gas as far as it would go to get the hell of these stupid drivers slowing me down. So of course I was meant to get the next red light right. So I did, but on the side of the road after the light I could see there was some service truck stopped. Not a good thing as it was on my way and there are cars everywhere, so again I had to step on the gas and leave the others that were at the light in the dust so I could move over to the next lane and not be held back more time. The rest of the drive was not as eventful, but still people getting in the way or going too slow and city buses stopping and me going around them. I put El Sexto Sentido on which helped appease me a bit for the remainder of my drive. So a drive that would normally take me 10-15 minutes took me about 30 minutes. Hope the rest of the day goes well. Oh and hope when I get home Aaron is in a good mood, cause it seems lately my roommate Aaron due to his cold  is in bitchy moods. So I normally wake up get ready to go to work go to work and am for the most part in a happy mood all day at work, but when I get home his bitchiness changes my happy mood to that of being upset/angry. So hopefully the Nyquil helped. Oh by the way you have to sign your life away if you want to get Nyquil. Well, not your life just your name, address, DOB, and DL number. So since myspace is no longer accessible from work I'll be posting this message when I get home, but the time right now is 10:05 am AZ Time.

What is wrong with today?!! So now it's past 4pm and my afternoon drive was also a riot. So I am coming back from work and I get stuck behind a school bus that is stuck behind a city bus that's unloading people. The light was green for a while but of course due to the stop, the light turned red and I am in the middle of the crosswalk behind the buses. They took forever so then I had to swerve around them and get out of there quickly. I think I am staying in the rest of the evening and hope tomorrow is normal.  There's something about today, something in the air, that's just not right. I should have just stayed in in the morning when I woke up late instead of going to work. Everything is out of sync. Aaron however seems to be in a better mood so hopefully my evening and my night will be better than my morning and afternoon. Maybe I'll do some online shopping. Shopping always relaxes me.

Shaved Head!!!

I have been wanting to shave my hair off for a while. Aaron was wanting to cut it before I shaved it but yesterday was not such a good day for us and I just did not want to keep on procrastinating more on doing it, so this morning I woke up 30 minutes earlier than I would have and shaved my hair off. It feels cold, but I like it. I look different. I'll add a picture later.

Ok so here it is finally, my first picture with shaved head:

2024 Updated the image as it used to be posted here via photobucket images and no longer have photobucket, so just added it directly.

Choxie - Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans

Choxie - Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans
Brief Description on package: aromatic roasted Arabica espresso beans generously drenched in rich, dark chocolate
Complete Description on pakcage: Aromatic whole roasted Arabica espresso beans are generously drenched in rich, dark chocolate. This buzzworthy combination of creamy chocolate and bold coffee are a perfect compliment to your favorite coffee drinks or a great treat eaten by the handful.
My Review: Anything coverd in chocolate must be good, right? I am not an espresso person or a dark chocolate person. I  prefer milk chocolate and regular coffee. These espresso beans covered in dark choclate are really good. The aroma of these is not intense; it is a faint coffee-chocolatey one. It is however very delicious. As you bite into it, the chocolate mixes with the bean, so you get the crunch and the smooth, velvety chocolate, making it a very enoyable treat. The expresso beans are covered with just the right amount of dark chocoalte that it does not overpower the bean, which is the real star in this treat. The description says it is a great treat eaten by the handful, but I would suggest just 2-5 pices the most, unless you want a caffeine high. all day. Choxie - Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans are in fact a great treat.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everybody!!! Ok so the Wolfgang Puck coffee drinks did not go as well as I hoped for. Now I am just going to make a regular cup of coffee y way. I have still a third kind from Wolfgang, I'll review that one later, as right now I just want a good cup of coffee. On another note I was a bit asleep when I woke up this morning. When I was getting ready to go to work I forgot to rinse off the conditioner. Thankfully I was still on time. Have a great year everyone!!!

Wolfgang Puck - Gourmet Rich Caramel Latte

Wolfgang Puck - Gourmet Rich Caramel Latte

Description on package(can) - A rich blend of premium coffee and whole milk.
The container says: New Self Heating Can! heats to over 140 degrees; it is 10fl oz and 100 calories and 9 carbs.

The ingredients as listed on package: Coffee(Water, Coffee), Whole Milk, Natural Flavor, Pectin, Sucralose, and Acesulflame Potassium.

My Review: I am still hoping to have a great coffee in the morning today. The french vanilla experince (read my prev blog)  was not as delightful as I hope for. I don't like whole milk however, I do enjoy a good coffee drink. Just as before, the self heating can instructions were were pretty simple to follow. I had the same situtaion where, I am assuming due to the pressure inside, some of the likquid comes out. The aroma of this one is not great. The taste is just as unapealling as it's french vanilla relative. After writing this I noticed the top overfilling almost to overflowing. I had to dump it in a cup before it got all over my desk. Do not but this one either. Wolfgang Puck - Gourmet Rich Caramel Latte is just terrible.

My Review: Self heting can instructions were very simple and easy to follow. It squirted a bit when I opened it, which I suppose it's from shaking it as the instructions direct you to. Nonetheless, fairly simple. The first aroma I got from drink made me think "yummy", but the actual taste of the drink is interesting to not say weird. It does taste like it has some coffee in it and definitely whole milk. The whole milk really is what you taste on this drink. It's like whole milk infused with a bit of coffee, and there is no french vanilla taste at all. I really wished I would of liked this drink, but I don't. Maybe it's that I don't like whole milk. Now I have a yucky taste in my mouth. Ewww...! Maybe other flavors of this line may be better but, I don't recommend this one at all to anyone. So, please save yourself some $ and don't buy this. Wolfgang Puck - Gourmet French Vanilla Latte can be summed up as my worst coffee experince.

Choxie

Choxie is the name of Target's new line of gourmet like chocolates with an upscale taste without the upscale price. The signing is stylish and hip. I was a bit skeptical to try them, but Amy said she tried the truffle ones and she liked them, and if Amy liked them, then I was sure to enjoy them as well. So I had taste, and my are they truly delicious and at the price points that they are given, I no longer need to break my wallet at Godiva to have great tasting chocolate treats. I will be providing my opinion on each variety of Choxie as I try them. Mind you the line is extensive so this may take several months. Stay tuned...

Tully's Coffee

As you know I had extra time in the morning today so picked up a few things at a local grocery store. In the store ther was a Tully's Coffee, a starbucks like attempt, in the grocery store. Ordered a Mocha Spin, their take on a frappuccino, no expectations but of course comparing it to Starbucks. To my surprise it was delightfully good, and at the same price as Starbucks, I may occassionally venture to Tully's to avoid the crowds at Starbucks. However Starbucks could never be replaced. For more info visit www.tullys.com

Self Heating Coffee Can?!

So, I had some extra time this morning before work, so went looking around to get some sugar for my morning coffee and I noticed Wolfgang Puck self heating beverages. I was like, "What the hell, he is getting into everything?!" To add to my excitement I had never heard of self heating can. Of course I had to get some to try them. I got 3 of the 4 to 5 kinds that they had. The Gourmet Rich Caramel Latte, Gourmet French vanilla Latte, and the Gourmet Rich Mocha Latte. I'll post a blog review of these later, as I try them. Have  great day.

Cracker Jack vs Poppycock vs Store brand

So what's the deal with Cracker Jack. It seems to me it's over-rated. I remember when I was a kid I would buy it excitedly mostly for the surprise toy. Back then it was really something exciting to see what new mini toy was inside. Now I purchase this type of sweet for the actual taste of it when I get a sweet tooth and not the "surprise" I stopped buying Cracker Jack a while back as the surprise now is crap. I recently received a Cracker Jack as part of a Christmas goodie bag. The surprise toy is a crappy piece of paper with instructions to fold the paper this way and that way. What the hell kinda "surprise toy" is that. If only the popcorn mix with nuts was good, but it isn't. The peanuts in it are diminutive and shriveled, it's a waste to even include them in it. So now of course I buy Poppycock which is excellent tasting and have many varieties, and of course I like saying the name. Even the store brand versions are pretty good, and have a good popcorn to nut ratio. But Cracker Jack unless I receive you as a gift or part of a goody bag as before, I will not waste my time on you, unless you improve the peanuts to caramel popcorn ratio and include a worthwhile "surprise"

Time Lapse...

Today I came in to work 6:15am - 2:30pm. For some reason I set my alarm for 4am to be here by 5am, however in my mind it panned out as if it was 5am to be her by 6am. WEIRD!. So I didn't realize this until it was 10 minutes to 5am and I was pretty much down the street of work. So what to do in an hour, as I definitely did not want to go to work yet and did not want to drive back home. So Drove to Albertson's but was closed, opens until 7am today. So went Fry's Marketplace, where I used to shop all the time before I moved. Thankfully it was open. So spent a good 45 minutes in there, got some fruit and snacks for work. Then drove to work was at work 10 minutes to 6am. Much better than a whole hour early. Well hope you all have a great New Years Eve. I am not doing anything really just home. I'll probably watch the New York thing on TV, drink some Rose Regale and go to bed as I work early tomorrow as well at 6am. Hopefully I'll get the time right tomorrow.
